Every claim below was made in this book, quoted word for word and numbered in the order the piece makes them, so you can read it there rather than take our word for it. The chapter headings are the book's own, and which chapter a claim falls in was found in a stored copy of the text rather than typed. The sentence above each quote is our reading of the claim, not their wording. Each quote was checked against a stored copy of the page at build time; where the two differ, the quote is the fact.

Jane Roberts, in her own voice

  1. I believe that we form our own reality—now, and after death.
  2. The reader will have to make his own judgments, but personally I do accept his theories as valid and significant.
  3. As to who or what Seth is, his term “energy essence personality” seems as close to the answer as anyone can get.
  4. Actually I think that these abilities flow through us as the wind flows through the branches.
  5. In doing so, I’m convinced that we will discover a greater individuality, uniqueness, and sense of identity.
  6. I believe psychic ability itself is an outcropping or extension of creative abilities, inherent in each of us, and therefore normal rather than supranormal.

Seth, in sessions the book quotes

  1. There is no static God. When you say, ‘This is God,’ then God is already something else.
  2. Most of your God concepts deal with a static God, and here is one of your main theological difficulties.
  3. You create your reality according to your beliefs and expectations, therefore it behooves you to examine them carefully.
  4. The time you seem to spend within the dream—or within each life—is only an illusion, and to the inner self no time has passed because there is no time.
  5. If an individual sees only evil and desolation in the physical world, it is because he is obsessed with evil and desolation and projects them outward, and closes his eyes to all else.
  6. In physical reality you are learning that your thoughts have reality, and that you create the reality that you know.
  7. You should desire good health because it is a natural state of your being. You should trust in the innate intelligence of your own being. Health is its natural state.
  8. For my personality is not Ruburt’s, nor is his mine. I am not a secondary personality, for instance.
