Our translation We want to lighten the tax burden on food and drink, which are closest to daily life, and at the same time provide support payments according to income, to create even a little "room" in household budgets. That is what the bill is for.

  • Married surnames Keep one shared surname

    Said

She backs wider use of maiden names while keeping the family register's one surname per married couple, which she says is different from separate surnames.

Our translation Expanding the use of maiden names reduces the number of people who feel inconvenience or disadvantage in social life because their surname changed through marriage and the like, while maintaining the current family register system, whose unit is one married couple and the children who share their surname. I consider it different from the selective separate-surname system you raised.
