Sitting in a government with the Haredi parties

Then

Open to Haredi partners

A government led by the centre-left with the Haredi parties in it is clearly better for Israel than a unity government with Likud; ruling the Haredim out in advance is a serious mistake.

"האם למדינת ישראל עדיפה ממשלה שמובלת על ידי המרכז-שמאל ונמצאים בה חרדים, על פני ממשלת אחדות עם הליכוד? אני חושב שחד-משמעית התשובה היא חיובית"

Our translation Is a government led by the centre-left, with Haredim in it, preferable for the State of Israel to a unity government with Likud? I think the answer is unequivocally yes

The Haredim stay out

The Haredi parties will be out of the government he forms; he calls it a promise.

"החרדים יהיו בחוץ. זו הבטחה."

Our translation The Haredim will be out. That is a promise.

Context: In September 2019 Blue and White said it would form only a unity government without the Haredi parties. On 26 May 2026 Channel 14 aired a recording of Golan telling activists that he does not rule out a Haredi party and would vote for a government that depended on one, provided Likud, Smotrich and Ben Gvir were not in it; the post above came the next morning, with a video in which he said the Haredi parties had ruled themselves out.
